What UCM is Doing to Prevent Discrimination |
Sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, sexual violence, and other forms of sexual misconduct will not be tolerated. The University prohibits discrimination on the basis of any protected characteristic, including sex, pregnancy, gender identity, gender expression, and gender (non)conformity.
The University of Central Missouri is committed to addressing and eliminating prohibited discrimination and harassment. All university administrators, faculty, staff and students are expected to follow policies and are encouraged to support anti-discrimination activities. University employees complete annual training related to this subject matter.
Discrimination: Any unfair treatment based on age, race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, handicap/disability or genetic information as it relates to employment, education, or public accommodation may be considered discrimination.
Harassment: Occurs through unwelcome verbal, nonverbal or physical conduct based on age, race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, handicap/disability or genetic information that has the purpose or effect of creating a hostile campus environment.
