Prepare for a better job in the high-demand healthcare field through this online, self-paced course

The University of Central Missouri's Medical Coding and Billing certificate program prepares students to earn national certification and begin working immediately after completion. Medical coding and billing professionals translate medical records into standardized codes used to bill patients and third-party payers such as insurance companies and Medicare. Our self-paced, online program will teach you to use these codes including the new PCS procedural code set. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the demand for professional medical coding and billing professionals is expected to increase by approximately 15 percent through 2024. Professionals in the middle 50 percent of this field earn between $29,130 and $48,510.  Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.
