Loans are funds provided to a student (or a student's parent in the case of a Federal PLUS loan) for educational expenses which must be repaid. UCM offers the following types of loans.
Types of Student Loans
- Undergraduate students are eligible for Federal Direct Stafford Loans, Federal Perkins Loans, Alternative Loans and Federal PLUS Loans.
- Graduate students are eligible for Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Graduate PLUS Loans or Alternative Loans.
Some of the loans you will be offered require additional forms to be completed. After you Accept each type of aid offered, make sure to complete and submit the on-line request(s) for the funds you may have accepted.
