In 2006, the department celebrated its 35th year of providing safety and industrial hygiene professionals for the nation and the world. In 2004, the Safety Department celebrated it's 20th year offering the Masters of Occupational Safety in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Central Missouri's Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management is one of very few degree programs to address this nationwide need. This degree provides the graduate with knowledge of management and safety issues, and the ability to establish or administer safety programs in business, industry, or government. The program offers the graduate student a professional capstone for any background in safety.
Students may start any semester, and degree completion is possible in two years. Courses are offered on Fridays and Saturdays and a few are offered online.
Graduates from this program are currently employed at Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories, Honeywell, Intel, OSHA and a multitude of other safety related companies.
