The University of Central Missouri golf squad made it 5-for-5 during fall tournaments Tuesday, winning the Fort Hays State Invitational and shooting a 595 in two days of windy conditions. The next closest team to UCM was Nebraska-Kearney, 14 strokes back.
The Mules had three of the top four players in the tournament as junior Zach VanDolah shot a 145 (+3), senior Justin Yoder shot a 148 (+6), and junior Ryne Kloeppel tallied a 148 (+6).
VanDolah tied for second after losing in a playoff, while Yoder fired a hole-in-one on the final hole of the tournament.
UCM led after the first day with a 287, followed by a 308 in day two action on the par 71 Smokey Hill Country Club.
It was the second MIAA sponsored event of the season, with UCM winning at Truman State earlier this year. Missouri Southern finished second out of conference squads, while Washburn was next, and Missouri Western followed them.
Central Missouri is now done for the fall season with the next action set for this spring.
