Graduate Assistant and Intern Positions
Graduate Assistant Positions
Description: To work as an athletic trainer under the supervision of the staff athletic trainers and report to the head athletic trainer. Provide medical care and coverage for Division II student-athletes and intercollegiate athletic teams as assigned. Duties include assisting day-to-day operations of the athletic training facilities, home and away competition and practice coverage, and any other duties assigned by the head athletic trainer.
Qualifications: Prospective graduate assistants must be NATA-BOC certified or eligible to sit for the exam before start date and eligible for licensure from the Missouri Board of Healing Arts. The candidate must be accepted into a program within the University of Central Missouri Graduate School and completed the assistantship forms.
Dates of Service: All graduate assistant contracts begin on August 1st and run through the following May 31st. All contracts are renewable. Graduate assistant contracts are intended to be renewed once (graduate programs typically take two years to complete).
Benefits: Graduate assistantships include a full tuition waiver, yearly stipend, and a meal program. Graduate assistants will have the opportunity to work summer camps for extra income during the summer if they choose to do so.

Intern Position
Description: To work as an athletic trainer under the supervision of the staff athletic trainers and report to the head athletic trainer. Provide medical care and coverage for Division II student-athletes and intercollegiate athletic teams as assigned. Duties include assisting day-to-day operations of the athletic training facilities, home and away competition and practice coverage, and any other duties assigned by the head athletic trainer.
Qualifications: Prospective interns must have current certification with the NATA-BOC and be licensed or license eligible by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts.
Dates of Service: All intern contracts begin on August 1st and run through the following May 31st. Intern contracts are eligible to be renewed on a year-to-year basis whenever mutually agreed upon.
Benefits: Internships include a yearly stipend and a meal program. Interns will have the opportunity to work summer camps for extra income during the summer if they choose to do so.
