The Jennies completed a pair of MIAA sweeps Saturday with a 3-0 triumph over Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Missouri. The win closed out a brief road swing to the northwest part of Missouri that included a 3-0 victory Friday night over Northwest Missouri State in Maryville.
Brooke Butler and Jacquelyn Williams had 12 kills each to lead the Jennies in Saturday's victory. Caitlin Pankratz had 38 assists and five service aces to power the Jennies in Friday's win. The Jennies, who were ranked 14th in the latest AVCA-II Poll, are now 8-2 in league play and 20-6 overall after the two road match wins.
Jennies return home to host Quincy in a non-conference match on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. It's the annual "Get the Pink Out" match, with all fans who wear pink to the event receiving free admission. There will also be a silent auction for a replica of each of the players special jersey's, with proceeds going to the Susan Komen for the Cure Foundation.
