Established July 1, 1967, the Missouri Safety Center (MSC) located on the campus of the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri, proves the benefits of combining academic programs with a training center, creating a hybrid unit dedicated to the safety and welfare of all citizens. The MSC strives to prevent injury and death through education, training, research, public service, and publications.

The MSC is known for having expert faculty and staff who are knowledgeable, skilled, prepared, organized and courteous. Our staff includes professionals from a variety of safety related fields—from business to education, military to law enforcement.
Outstanding Facilities
Located on the UCM campus, the MSC is part of the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies’ Community Service and Outreach Division. From our 14-acre Highway Safety Instructional Park to our training building to our Police Academy, our state-of-the-art facilities provide the best environment for learning.

From entry-level automobile and motorcycle drivers to commercial and school bus drivers, the MSC offers a variety of driver safety education training programs. Our 14-acre Highway Safety Instructional Park on the south end of the UCM campus provides the ideal setting for hands-on learning.
The Institute for Public Safety and Central Missouri Police Academy delivers exceptional training and education for those who want to pursue or advance a career in public safety.
