Financial Aid Enrollment Status
In accordance with federal and state financial aid guidelines, you're required to be enrolled for a minimum number of credit hours each semester (as follows) before the various types of financial aid you may have been awarded can credit your UCM account.
For the 9-month school year:
- Federal Pell Grant - at least one (1) undergraduate credit hour/semester, however most Pell Grant recipients need to be enrolled in 6 or more hours/semester
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) - 12 or more undergraduate credit hours/semester
- Federal Stafford (student) Loan - 6 or more undergraduate credit hours (or at least 4 graduate credit hours)/semester
- Federal Perkins Loan - 12 or more undergraduate credit hours (or at least 9 graduate credit hours)/semester
- Federal PLUS (Parent) Loan - 6 or more undergraduate credit hours/semester
- Merit Scholarships - 12 or more undergraduate credit hours/semester
- Federal Work-Study employment - 12 or more undergraduate credit hours (or at least 9 graduate credit hours)/semester
- Federal TEACH Grant - 1 or more undergraduate or graduate hour/semester
- Access Missouri Grant - 12 or more undergraduate credit hours/semester
