UCM Online

Online and Learning Engagement champions distance education by assisting students and faculty in online and interactive video/TV learning. With 22 programs, 10 certificates, and hundreds of courses, online classes maintain the exceptional quality of our in-person education, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.

Workforce & Professional Education

Workforce and Professional Education enriches lives and careers with non-credit personal enrichment and professional development opportunities. Our programs enhance skills, foster growth, and deliver valuable knowledge for an evolving job market, all designed to accommodate diverse needs and aspirations.

Dual Credit

Dual credit courses provide high school students with an opportunity to take rigorous college-level coursework that aligns with university standards, right in their high school. This allows the students to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously, which results in significant cost savings when compared to UCM's undergraduate tuition.

Open University

UCM's Open University is an opportunity for individuals to enroll in and receive credit for courses on a seat-available basis. Students are admitted as non-degree seeking and ineligible for financial assistance.

The Honors College

The Honors College offers an enriched educational experience to motivated undergraduates, focusing on critical thinking, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and a global perspective. Aligned with UCM's mission to transform students into confident leaders, it fosters a community of lifelong learners through an inclusive environment.

Study Abroad

UCM is committed to cultivating a global perspective among its students, faculty and staff. We welcome international students  from nearly 50 countries, and offer an extensive array of study abroad and exchange programs. English Language Institute

The English Language Institute (ELI), with its CEA-accredited Intensive English Program, teaches a broad range of language skills to successfully prepare students to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees at US institutions of higher education. 

TRIO McNair Scholars

The TRIO McNair Scholars Program is a federal program whose purpose is to prepare first-generation, low-income college students and students from groups underrepresented in graduate education and to help these students fulfill their educational dreams.

Digital Learning and Instructional Innovation (DLII)

DLII provides direct faculty support in areas of training, course development, and content creation. DLII provides supplemental student support in the areas of learning technologies, the LMS, and an enhanced learning experience through pedagogical training administered to faculty.

WeMET

Western Missouri Educational Technology Consortium (WeMET), was organized as an educational and community consortium in 1993 to facilitate member's use of interactive television (I-TV) through video conferencing technology. I-TV, online, and face to face classes connect schools to dual credit classes and special programming such as virtual field trips and ACT prep classes. 

Missouri Center for Career Education

The Missouri Center for Career Education (MCCE) provides quality curriculum and research, targeted professional development, and innovative instructional resources to support the career and technical education system in Missouri.

Lifelong Learning

UCM’s Lifelong Learning series is designed to provide programs and performances that enlighten and inform people throughout the region.  All programs are free and open to the public.  Please join us!  

Dale Carnegie

UCM offers Dale Carnegie Training® programs. For organizations, these programs are excellent tools to develop employee talent and meet the talent management needs of your organization.  For individuals, these programs will help you improve your performance and increase your value to the organization.  

Greater Kansas City Writing Project

The Greater Kansas City Writing Project is a Pre-K to College community of educators and lifelong learners working in conjunction with the UCM.  We offer teaching and writing classes for teachers and young people in Kansas City and the surrounding area.
