HLC Accreditation Preparation Timeline

Spring 2023

January 20 – collect Fall 2022 general education assessment data and begin Quality Initiative report.
February 1 - Initial Assurance Argument evidence collection completed, sorted, assigned accession numbers and naming convention, and student personal identifying information redacted.
March 1 - President sends campus message about HLC comprehensive visit one year away.
March 25-28 - HLC criterion chairs attend HLC Annual Conference for professional development.
May 1 – Assurance Argument evidence reviewed, gap analysis completed, and draft narratives completed by APGS.
May 15 - Quality Initiative report on general education assessment completed and submitted to HLC.
May 15-19 - General Education juried scoring of artifacts – norming and validation.

 

Summer 2023

Assurance Argument editing and draft of Compliance Report.

 

Fall 2023

September 15 – Draft Assurance Argument shared with campus.
October 13 – Assurance Argument editing complete for HLC mock visit.
November 13 – HLC Mock Visit
December – reflection on Mock Visit report and adjustments to Assurance Argument.

 

Spring 2024

January - HLC launches student body online survey.
January 10 – HLC marketing efforts continue to campus constituents.
January 17 – president email to campus about HLC comprehensive visit; UCM weekly article
January 24 – UCM Daily posting about upcoming visit
February 15 – lock Assurance Argument and Compliance Report. HLC provides UCM with student survey results.
March 18-19 – comprehensive review – meetings held with key constituents and open sessions with campus.
April 13-16 – HLC Annual Conference
May – HLC comprehensive review report shared with UCM.
June 3-4 or July 15-16 – HLC Institutional Actions Council (IAC) takes action on UCM comprehensive review.

Summer 2024

Reflect on HLC comprehensive review feedback. Plan for work needed based upon feedback and
actions taken by the IAC.
