UCM's Open University is an opportunity for individuals to enroll in and receive credit for courses on a seat-available basis. Students are admitted as non-degree seeking and ineligible for financial assistance.

Apply as visiting college if you are pursuing your undergraduate degree elsewhere but want to take classes at UCM for one semester (such as summer) that you will transfer back to your home institution. This gives you non-degree seeking status and you are not eligible for financial aid. Apply as a visiting high school student if you are in high school but have permission from your school to take classes at UCM. This is different than dual credit. Students not meeting formal admission requirements for an undergraduate or graduate degree at UCM or elsewhere can enroll as a special credit student. Missouri residents who are 65 years of age or older may enroll for courses without tuition payment. Persons seeking this scholarship shall provide documentation of age to Central Missouri and satisfy all other necessary entrance requirements. This enrollment is for non-credit (audit) purposes and may only be used for classes located on the Warrensburg campus. Enrollment will be allowed no sooner than five days prior to classes beginning and on a space-available basis only.
