Rae was the Office Professional in various departments within the College of Education before becoming the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College of Education in 2020. She moved to Academic Affairs as the Director of Academic Affairs Operations in 2024. She volunteers as the advisor for Prism, UCM's LGBTQIA+ student organization and serves on the Staff Council as well as several committees on campus. She earned her BSE in Elementary Education, MS in Educational Technology, and EdS in Career and Technical Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs, all from UCM. She also holds graduate certificates in Academic Advising and in Diversity Issues in Higher Education. Prior to joining the UCM staff, she has worked as an Educational Technology Specialist for Pearson Higher Education, Youth Specialist with the Missouri Division of Youth Services, adjunct instructor in Educational Technology at UCM, and substitute teacher in the Warrensburg R-VI School District. Her research interests include diversity and governance in higher education. In her spare time, Rae writes novels, plays video games, and spends time with family.
