The University of Central Missouri Restorative Nurse Assistant certificate program will help certified nurse assistant advance in their career while gaining an overview of therapeutic healthcare. A restorative nurse assistant acquires special knowledge, skills and techniques in therapeutic rehabilitation as prescribed and supervised by licensed personnel. This valuable face-to-face course covers numerous aspects of therapeutic healthcare including physical, recreational, occupational and speech therapy. Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.

72 hours | High-school diploma or GED; six months of employment as a certified nurse assistant who is listed on the Missouri State Nurse Assistant Register and who has a letter of recommendation from appropriate agency/facility administrator; pass a background check |
Students receive instruction in several modalities of therapeutic interventions under the guidance of licensed therapists. Upon passing the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) exam, students will also earn their Restorative Nursing Assistant certification.
