Mrs. Carol Dunn began as an adjunct instructor for the University of Central Missouri in 2008 and became a full time instructor in 2011. Currently, she graduate courses for the elementary math specialists program and coordinates the student teaching program for the entire College of Education. She earned her BS in Elementary Education with a mathematics minor from UCM and her MS in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. Her experience includes 28 years in public school with an emphasis on math and science at the middle school and junior high levels. In addition to earning National Board Certification in 2004, she was honored as Lee’s Summit Teacher of the Year in 2006-2007 and was one of five finalists for Missouri Teacher of the Year. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, reading, shopping, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.
