Dr. Karen Loman currently teaches Early Childhood Principles and Observation. Her experience as an elementary classroom teacher, instructional coach, educational consultant, and author gives her a dynamic range of experience and knowledge that she readily shares with future educators. She earned her BSE in Elementary Education from UCM, MA in Reading Education and EdS in Curriculum and Instruction, Language Arts from University of Missouri - Kansas City, and EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from University of Missouri - Columbia. When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. Her research interests include teacher dispositions, peer coaching, and high leverage teaching practices. She is excited to be engaged in a long term case study coaching first and second year teachers.
