Mark Lee

Mark Lee earned his Bachelor of Music and BA in Music Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MS in Choral Conducting from the University of Illinois, Chapaign-Urbana, and his EdD in Education Administration from the University of Kansas. He served as the Vocal Music Teacher at William Chrisman High School for 12 year before becoming that school's Assistant Principal and then later Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for Independence Public Schools. He joined the UCM faculty in 2015 and instructed both undergraduate and MAT students in education pedagogy before departing in 2023. During the 2023-2024 academic year, he worked with Independence Public Schools to mentor first year teachers and returned to UCM in Fall 2024 to continue his work in preparing future educators.
