Mrs. Meredith Beggs

After teaching first and fourth grade in a public school district for several years, Mrs. Meredith Beggs is bringing her real world experience to the classroom to help shape future educators. She earned her BSE Elementary Education and MSE in Elementary Math Specialist from UCM and now teaches math education courses in the junior and senior blocks as well as courses in the Elementary Math Specialist graduate program. Her research interests include Growth Mindset in Mathematics, Best Practices in Math Education as well as the Effects of Number Talks on Pre-Service Teachers' Efficacy and Number Sense. When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Beggs enjoys spending time with her family, baking, DIY projects, and reading.
