Dr. Nicole Nickens’ research interests include assessment, teacher dispositions, and teacher education, which make her a valuable asset to the Educational Psychology program. She earned her BS in Psychology from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State), and her MA and PhD in Educational Psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia. She currently teaches courses as part of the Educational Foundations block, helping to prepare new educators for their first field experiences. With 7 years of experience in public schools as a mental health case manager and behavior specialist and 21 years in higher education, she brings real-world experience in education to the classroom.
