Mr. Mike Keilholz teaches Agriculture Mechanics, Advanced Agriculture Mechanics, Pasture Management, and Agriculture Capstone Experience. He also teaches Soil & Water Management and will be teaching Field Crops/Pasture Management.  When needed he will teach other agriculture courses for the program. Mr. Keilholz is also the Lead Faculty for the Agriculture Education B.S.E. in the College of Education and teaches Agriculture Program Planning and Supervised Agricultural Experiences, and will supervise student teachers for the Ag Ed Degree. He brings 30+ years of teaching Agricultural Education to UCM's Ag Ed. Degree.  During the day he also teaches agriculture and advises the FFA at Pleasant Hill High School and is the Community Education Coordinator for the Pleasant Hill School District.  He earned his B.S. in Agriculture Education at the University of Missouri (MU), then his Master's Degree (also from MU) in PAVTE (Practical Arts and Vocational Technical Education). He is further continuing his education. 
 

He has earned the Region III American Vocational Association's "New Vocational Teacher of the Year" award, an Honorary State FFA Degree, Honorary American FFA Degree, and the MVATA (Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teacher Association) Distinguished Service Award.  In 2018, Mr. Keilholz was recognized by the Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association  as a state winner in "Ideas Unlimited - Teaching Ideas," and has conducted in-service workshops at the MVATA conference to his peers in agricultural education.  He represented Missouri at the Region IV National Association of Agriculture Educators (NAAE) Conference and was selected as the overall Regional winner, which included 6 states. His teaching ideas are posted on the NAAE’s website for “Best Practices” and are shared nationally with other Agriculture Educators.  Mr. Keilholz was recognized as one of the Top 6 Nationally in "Ideas Unlimited" and conducted professional development workshops at the National NAAE Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
