Paul Brown is originally from Warrensburg, Missouri. He completed 2 years in pre-engineering at UCM and then completed a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology-Rolla and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He has experience working in numerous industries as a draftsman and an engineer in various design, quality and project management roles: General Electric (Appliances, Lighting, and Aircraft Engines); Swisher Mower & Machine (lawn mower, pull behind mower & log splitter manufacturing); Gardner Denver (air compressors); Duke Manufacturing (restaurant and cafeteria refrigeration equipment); Stahl Specialty (aluminum castings); IBM (automated manufacturing of computers); and United Brands (software engineering). He has now come full circle back to UCM and enjoys equipping students with the knowledge and skills for successful careers in engineering functions in the economy.
He enjoys spending time with his family, taking care of his grass fed beef cattle, and running and exercising for health.
