The online MS in Behavior Analysis program at the University of Central Missouri will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to advance in your career or to pursue a doctoral degree. By earning this affordable master’s degree, you’ll be highly sought after to work with individuals who have intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and traumatic head injuries with accompanying psychiatric disorders.
All students complete 30 credit hours in core behavior analysis classes and select one of two program options: Behavior Analysis and Therapy (6) or Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder (12). The MS-Behavior Analysis program has been approved by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) as a verified course sequence (VCS, 5th edition).
Not all states have chosen to regulate the behavior analysis field. However, all of the states that do regulate the field, which continues to grow, require passing the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam. The UCM MS-Behavior Analysis program prepares you to meet the educational requirements to be eligible to take the BCBA exam. Supervised field work is also required. Contingent on obtaining the BCBA, students are eligible to become licensed in Missouri. Licensure requirements in other states may differ.
