Recognized for her many years of outstanding performance and achievement, Dr. Frank Waller, received one of the highest accolades in her career at Central during the spring 2002 commencement. She was presented the Presidential Recognition Award.
The associate vice president emeriti for academic programs and services came to Central in 1978 as an assistant professor of management. She was serving as professor in 1988 when she was chosen to fill an interim position as associate provost- a role which was made permanent in 1991.
As associate provost for academic programs and services, Dr. Waller was responsible for coordinating university programs related to curriculum, integrative studies, accreditation reviews, articulation agreements, program reviews, academic policies and procedures, and updating the Academic Policy and Procedure and calendar. She also heard student appeals and worked to resolve student problems related to academic affairs. She helped coordinate all of Central’s commencements for more than a decade.
A former Higginsville High School teacher, Dr. Waller received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Northeast Missouri State University, now Truman State University. She earned her Master of Science in Education degree and her Education Specialist degree from Central. She completed her doctorate in business education, management and higher and adult education at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
