During the past 33 years, Mr. Brauer has played a major role in the success of the overall computer environment at the university. Most of the years he spent here were devoted to managing the Information Services budget along with presenting the detail and summary reports required by the university and the state of Missouri.

He received at least four promotions, becoming a full-time programmer in 1968, a system analyst in 1970 and director of computer services in 1972. Due to reorganization and expansion of the Information Services area in 1991, he became assistant director of computer support services, a position he held until his retirement this year.
