History of the SMIF
In 2013, the UCM Alumni Foundation approved $500,000 for a new Student Managed Investment
Fund. This is one of the most significant investments which the Foundation has made
toward any single program, and demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to creating
greater learning opportunities for
UCM students.
Under actively managed supervision, UCM students have produced significant results,
as the total value of the SMIF exceeds $850,000.
Donn G Forbes Center for Financial Services
As a finance student, you will be exposed to the most advanced technology in financial data and news. The Forbes Center houses our 12 Bloomberg Professional Service terminals, the industry leading platform for news data, analytical tools and research. The Forbes Center also has our LED ticker displays that stream stock quotes and updated information about the performance of financial markets. The Forbes Center serves as the operating room for the SMIF.
