Dr. Alethea Rollins received her doctorate and master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Before beginning her career at UCM, Dr. Rollins was a research consultant at the Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships in Greensboro, NC. Her research focuses on multiracial individuals and families, parental racial socialization, and racial socialization practices of early childhood educators. She has presented across the country at many professional conferences, has an extensive publication record in peer-reviewed journals, and has co-edited a book entitled Biracial Families.
