Dr. Keira Solon has been a member of the UCM Management department since 2015. Her primary teaching areas are Business Communication, Events Management, and Leadership. Her scholarship interests relate to the professionalization process and how the professionalization of careers and occupations affects workers in these roles. She is also interested in pedagogical practices that improve classroom learning and the UCM Management Program.

Keira is a member of Meeting Planners International (MPI) and is active in MPI, Kansas City and sits on the MPI Global Board for Emerging Professionals. Her work with the UCM Events Marketing and Management program has earned her several awards including MPI KC Industry Advocate of the Year. She has also been recognized by the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies as the winner of the Engagement Teaching Award and the Dean's Strategic Goal Award.
