Gary Manning

Introduction

Dr. Manning is the THRIVE case manager/advisor at UCM, teaches in the education department, physical education department and teaches recreational sport management to sport management majors. He received his EdD in Education Leadership from St. Louis University in 2013. He received his EdS in K-12 School Administration from UCM in 2005, his M.S. in Physical Education with an emphasis in athletic administration from UCM in 1999, and his BSE in Physical Education K-12/Social Studies 7-9 from UCM in 1994. He has over twenty-five years as an educator, including serving as a superintendent, secondary school principal, elementary principal, athletic director, physical education/social studies teacher, basketball/track/soccer/cross-country coach, and adjunct professor at UCM.

He has presented on different topics at numerous education, coaching and athletic director conferences within the state of Missouri and national. He has served on panels for Athletic Directors, Coaching and School Leadership. He has served on Parks and Recreation Department Committees on youth sports.
