National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

Officials at the Center for Post-secondary Research at Indiana University developed a widely-known national benchmark assessment called NSSE. Colleges and universities use this assessment tool to determine how students are engaging inside and outside the classroom. Students are asked about hours spent doing a variety of activities, plans to take part in certain courses, projects and activities, etc. UCM participates in this assessment during every other spring, in even years.
