The Mule Grant awards first-time undergraduate degree-seeking students and transfer students with an associate degree who are residents in the state of Missouri the opportunity to attend UCM with less financial stress. This grant covers any tuition and general fees remaining after federal, state, institutional, and private/outside grants and scholarships have been applied. Because of this, the Mule Grant amount can change based upon several factors, including the amounts of gift aid (grants and scholarships) and number of credit hours enrolled for each semester. Note: final Access Missouri amounts are generally not known until late August, and will be updated at that time, which will also affect your final Mule Grant amount.
***All scholarships & awards (including the Mule Grant beginning Fall 2023) are available for new, first-time, freshmen up to one year, or two semesters (Fall/Spring), after graduation from high school, as long as they did not attend anywhere else post-graduation. For example, if a student graduated from high school in May 2021, and did not attend any other college after high school, needs to start at UCM by the Fall 2022 semester, or he/she would not be eligible.
