In continuation of its mission to engage with the communities it serves, KMOS PBS is partnering with local organizations to host Be My Neighbor Day at the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. Fifth St. in Sedalia, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

This free event will feature community helpers such as the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, the Sedalia Fire Department, Boonslick Regional Library, Open Door Food Pantry and others. Additionally, there will be a special appearance by PBS KIDS character Daniel Tiger from the popular program "Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood."

During this event, participants can interact with community helpers and receive valuable information about their services. Family-friendly activities and crafts will also be available. The event and activities are made possible thanks to the generous support of KMOS PBS viewers, sponsors and partners.

“We are really excited to bring Daniel Tiger to Sedalia and engage with the community alongside some of our great local partners. The Liberty Center is the perfect venue for this, and we hope to bring attention to this gem in Sedalia,” said Scott Alvested, community engagement coordinator for KMOS PBS.
