A 20-year relationship that has resulted in more than $400,000 in scholarship awards for Kansas City area students to attend the University of Central Missouri was celebrated on April 8 at the Holter Center at the Villa Guadalupe Campus on East Truman Road.
Two Kansas City area high school students were named recipients of the University of Central Missouri’s 2016 Cesar E. Chavez Scholarships during a ceremony Saturday, April 23. The presentation was part of the Cesar E. Chavez Day celebration at the Guadalupe Center in Kansas City.
The University of Central Missouri will expand its outreach into the Kansas City area Hispanic community with the addition of a third the Cesar Chavez Scholarship to be made available to Kansas City area Hispanic students.
