KMOS PBS Awarded Grant for Equipment Upgrade to Enhance Emergency Alerts

KMOS PBS has been awarded a $880,000 grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to upgrade its equipment, which will provide enhanced emergency alerting for Central Missouri. KMOS was one of four stations to receive a grant during the CPB’s latest funding announcement for the Next Generation Warning System grant program, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) and State Fair Community College (SFCC) are acting together to offer students a seamless path to earning a Theatre degree. UCM and SFCC announced new articulation agreements that will allow students enrolled in SFCC’s Associate of Fine Art (AFA) in Theatre programs to seamlessly transfer to UCM’s Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theatre programs.

Governor Parson Signs Budget Increasing Funding for the University of Central Missouri

University of Central Missouri (UCM) leaders expressed their appreciation for Missouri Governor Mike Parson and state legislators for developing a $51.7 billion Fiscal Year 2025 state budget that allocates a net core appropriation of $64 million to UCM. This represents an increase of nearly $1.9 million in expected revenue to UCM for FY 2025, bringing the University’s overall total operating budget to $178.4 million.
