Central Missouri Repertory to Present Children's Touring Production 'Robin Hood'

Entering its 39th season of live children’s touring theatre productions, University of Central Missouri (UCM) Repertory Theatre (CMR) will present “Robin Hood” by Kathryn Schultz Miller at numerous locations throughout West Central Missouri in late May and early June. This includes a free, public performance in Warrensburg at the Highlander Theatre on the UCM campus at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28, as well as performances at venues in the communities of Clinton, Lee’s Summit, Richmond, Rocky Mount, and Sedalia on a touring schedule that begins May 25 and ends June 8.

In his remarks, he stressed the importance of developing strong relationships on campus, and with alumni, donors and the local community to build an athletic department for the future.

Spring 2023 Commencement Includes Four Ceremonies, Five Individual Awards

The presentation of five individual awards honoring the achievements of exceptional faculty members, students and alumni and the conferring of degrees on hundreds of graduate and undergraduate students will highlight 2023 Spring Commencement exercises at the University of Central Missouri. While all students who have completed their degree requirements are not expected to participate, more than 2,000 new graduates are eligible to walk in one of four ceremonies planned the weekend of May 5-6 in the Multipurpose Building.

With a tight window for planning, design and fabrication, a team of Engineering Technology students at the University of Central Missouri are celebrating a sixth-place finish in the 2023 NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge. The event, which included teams from approximately 40 institutions from around the world, took place Friday and Saturday, April 21-22 at the Marshal Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

They are among three 2023 recipients of this award which is the highest honor given by the Society in recognition of their significant contributions to the occupational safety and health profession.

UCM Theatre and Dance presents “Remember the Dance” in the Black Box Theatre at Nickerson Hall at 7:30 p.m. April 20, 21 and 22 and 2 p.m. on April 22 and 23. The April 23 matinee is Pay-What-You-Can (minimum $1), and will include ASL interpreters. Seating is limited, and tickets are available now. The show is family-friendly.
