WARRENSBURG, MO - Michael O’Keefe, programming/communications manager for KMOS-TV,
has been elected to the nine-member board of directors for the Public Television Programmers
Association (PTPA) for a three-year term. The PTPA, established in 1991, provides
public television professionals nationwide with opportunities to network with colleagues,
to review new content offerings, and to remain current with relevant technology trends.
O'Keefe commented on his appointment, "In just a few short years as a member of PTPA
I've learned so much that has helped serve our viewers and members. I'm honored to
have this opportunity to give back."
After 40 years serving central Missourians with KMOS-TV, the longtime University of
Central Missouri employee and UCM alumnus was honored as the PTPA Programmer of the
Year at the organization’s fall meeting in November 2022.
KMOS-TV serves the citizens of 38 central Missouri counties with high quality, educational
content and experiences over-the-air, online, and in communities. The station is integral
to UCM as a professional learning lab for students from a variety of disciplines.
