WARRENSBURG, MO – The University of Central Missouri Office of Human Resources announces
the 2023 Employee Benefits Fair and annual flu shot event 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 10, in Elliott Student Union, Rooms 237 A-B.
Part of the university’s ongoing efforts to offer services to help meet faculty and
staff needs, the Employee Benefits Fair is an opportunity to learn more about UCM
benefits, according to Cory Wicker, Ph.D., associate vice president of human resources.
Those who attend can stop at a variety of tables where they can meet with individuals
representing Blue KC, The Standard, Delta Dental, and others who can discuss health
benefits, supplemental retirement solutions, and more. This is s an opportunity for
employees to get answers to their questions, Wicker said.
With flu season approaching, employees can take steps to help fight influenza by getting
a vaccination. Skilled nurses will be available to administer the shots to interested
employees. To help ensure efficiency, faculty and staff are encouraged to dress accordingly
and bring a copy of their insurance card and the signed consent form, which they can
obtain online. They can avoid the wait by using the online scheduler by clicking here. Additional information about flu shots was included in an email Wicker sent to faculty
and staff on Sept. 27. This included instructions for scheduling a vaccination, and
a “Flu and You” flyer with information about how individuals can help prevent the
spread of the flu, symptoms, and more.
