UCM Student Combines Fashion & Computer Science Into a Career Path

Avery Barr, a Fashion major and Computer Information Systems (CIS) minor from Savannah, Missouri, came to the University of Central Missouri (UCM) with a passion for fashion. Now she’s graduating with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to turn that passion into a career.

Students, faculty and staff at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) are closing out the spring semester by bringing home plenty of state and national awards. Faculty and staff also showcased their expertise with conference presentations and research publications.

UCM to Celebrate 2026 Spring Commencement May 8-9

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) will welcome thousands of visitors as it hosts the 2026 Spring Commencement exercises Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, in the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
