Civil Rights Activist, Author, Educator Angela Davis Makes Presentation at UCM April 5

As part of the University of Central Missouri’s efforts to promote conversations with distinguished visitors, UCM will host civil rights activist, author, and educator Angela Davis for a public presentation at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in Hendricks Hall. Her speech is open to all who are interested in attending, and there is no admission charge. The event is sponsored by the Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity.

Quiñones Inspires UCM Audience to 'Do the Right Thing' When Witnessing an Injustice

From growing up in a life of poverty to becoming a successful ABC network news veteran who has interviewed everyone from homeless individuals to world leaders, John Quiñones shared his thoughts on the power of “doing the right thing” with a University of Central Missouri audience Feb. 23 in Nahm Auditorium.

ABC News Veteran, 'What Would You Do?' Host, John Quiñones, to Visit UCM

John Quiñones, ABC News veteran and creator and host of the popular “What Would You Do?” nationally televised program, will speak at the University of Central Missouri Wednesday, Feb. 23. His free presentation, made possible by the Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity, is open to the public and is the first talk in what the center hopes will become many conversations with distinguished visitors to UCM in the months ahead. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend this event at 7 p.m. in Nahm Auditorium, located in the W.C. Morris Science Building.
