Governing Board Honors Long, Approves Funding for Training Aircraft
The University of Central Missouri Board of Governors honored outgoing board member from Kansas City, Mary Long, while also authorizing funds for the purchase of training aircraft, approving two new degree programs and name changes to an undergraduate degree and minor when it met on campus on Jan. 26.

Kathy Anderson Assumes Interim Role as UCM VP for Intercollegiate Athletics
Following the recent loss of the University of Central Missouri’s top athletics administrator, UCM President Roger Best is turning to a seasoned veteran of the program, Kathy Anderson, to serve as interim Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.

O'Keefe Joins Public TV Programmers Association Board of Directors
Michael O’Keefe, programming/communications manager for KMOS-TV, has been elected to the nine-member board of directors for the Public Television Programmers Association (PTPA) for a three-year term. The PTPA, established in 1991, provides public television professionals nationwide with opportunities to network with colleagues, to review new content offerings, and to remain current with relevant technology trends.
