WARRENSBURG - The University of Central Missouri Department of Theatre and Dance,
in conjunction with the Department of Music, will bring the hit musical Chicago to
the James L. Highlander Theatre Oct. 7-11. Julie Rae Mollenkamp, professor of theatre,
will direct the production, with choreography under the direction of Ashley Miller,
associate professor of dance, and instrumental music under the direction of Rob Lawrence,
professor of music, and vocal music direction by Kristee Haney, assistance professor
of music.
The Broadway musical Chicago, based on the book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, with music
by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, is a classic story of two murderesses competing
for the limelight in Chicago during the Jazz Age, told through the language of song
and dance. Chicago is a sizzling satire of corruption and celebrity status.
Tickets are available for performances at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7-10 and 2 p.m. Oct. 11.
The Oct. 8 performance will be interpreted in sign language. The box office in Wood
128 will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays for season ticket holders beginning
Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 for the general public. Tickets also may be purchased online at
ucmo.edu/theatre or by calling the box office at 660-543-8811. Ticket prices are $15
for general public, $12 for UCM faculty, staff, and senior citizens, and $7 for students.
Children under the age of 5 years old will not be admitted.

Brooke Myers as Mary Sunshine, Bryson Kenworthy as Amos Hart, Hannah Wilderman as
Mona and Ensemble, Jessica Baxter as Go to Hell Kitty and Ensemble, Leah Eggimann
as Annie and Ensemble, Lindy Elliott as June and Ensemble, Brianna Schweitzer as Hunyak
and Ensemble, Taylor Jennings as Liz and Ensemble, Jessica Arnold as Ensemble, Memphis
Palacios as Ensemble, Isamo Manuel as Clerk and Ensemble, Omari Collins as Judge and
Ensemble, Connor Bush as Sgt. Fogerty and Ensemble, Adam Segura as Aaron and Ensemble,
Connor Bosworth as Martin Harrison and Ensemble, Daniel Parman as Harry/Juror and
Ensemble, Grant Lesher as Fred Casely and Ensemble, and Sam Wells as Ensemble.
