WARRENSBURG, MO – With the fall commencement ceremony traditionally featuring a smaller
number of participants than spring graduation exercises, the University of Central
Missouri’s Commencement Committee is planning for three ceremonies Dec. 11-12.
Fall 2015 Commencement activities begin with the Graduate Commencement at 6 p.m. Friday,
Dec. 11 in the Multipurpose Building, and two ceremonies planned the following day
at the same location. New graduates of the Harmon College of Business and Professional
Studies and the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences will be recognized
at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, and graduates of the College of Health, Science, and
Technology, and the College of Education, will be honored at 2 p.m.
The Commencement Planning Committee considered the change in the number of ceremonies
as a way to honor graduates and provide a comfortable viewing experience for graduates
and their families. In spring 2015, five ceremonies took place to accommodate a record
number of graduates and outstanding family participation. More information about the
May 2016 ceremony will be provided during the spring semester.
