WARRENSBURG, MO – KMOS-TV, the University of Central Missouri’s public broadcasting
television station, has provided assistance to a local program that brings the joy
of Christmas to area children.
Phil Hoffman, UCM director of broadcasting services, and Mary Clevenger, outreach
coordinator, presented more than 450 children’s books for children of all ages to
the Johnson County Christmas Angel Tree program on behalf of KMOS-TV.
The items will be distributed to area children by the program, which serves area families
by providing Christmas gifts for children in the Warrensburg area whose families may
be struggling to provide a happy holiday season.
“This is just one way KMOS-TV can help families enjoy the holiday season while supplementing
the quality children’s programming we provide to children in our viewing area,” Hoffman
said.
This is the 15th year KMOS-TV has made donations to the community Angel Tree program
as part of the station’s community outreach program.
