WARRENSBURG, MO – The UCM Department of Theatre and Dance presents 9 Circlesby Bill
Cain at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13-20 in the Nickerson Black Box Theatre.
Based on actual events, 9 Circles follows the fictional character of Daniel Reeves
after his discharge from military service during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Charged
with war crimes during his tenure in Iraq, Reeves encounters different lawyers, a
pastor and a psychiatrist as he navigates through each circle, akin to traveling the
same path in Dante's Inferno.The play is described as an "emotional journey from dark
to light."
Tickets can be purchased at the box office outside the Highlander Theater from 9 a.m.-3
p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling the Box Office at 660-543-8811. Tickets
will also be available in the lobby of Nickerson Hall outside the Black Box Theater
each night starting at 6:45 p.m. Seating is limited, and patrons are encouraged to
arrive early. 9 Circles is for mature audiences only.
Tickets are $7 for students, $10 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and military
and $12 for general public. There will be a public talk back after the Wednesday night
performance.
