By Mike Greife, April 17, 2017

WARRENSBURG, MO – The UCM Dance Club will present Dancing with the Professors All-Stars at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, in the James L. Highlander Theatre.

Serving as the club's annual fundraiser, Dancing with the Professors is an evening of various ballroom and popular dance styles performed by UCM students and faculty. The event is choreographed by UCM students, danced by some of UCM’s bravest faculty, and judged by selected UCM faculty and staff, and audience members. This year Dancing with the Professors All-Stars will bring back some of our most popular contestants from the past five years and will showcase seven couples of student-faculty dancers.

  • Wendy Geiger, professor and chair of the Department of Sociology, Gerontology, and Cross-Disciplinary Studies, and Dalton Pittenger, speech communication and theatre major.
  • Dan Schierenbeck, professor and chair of the Department of English and Philosophy, and Nina Lopez, speech communication and theatre major.
  • Lee Hartman, instructor of music, and Hannah Unruh, theatre performance major.
  • Mike Makara, assistant professor of political science, and Samantha Davin , theatre performance major.
  • Allison Robbins, assistant professor of music, and Zac McGee, speech communication major.
