JCPenney is partnering with the University of Central Missouri (UCM) for a special
event designed to help students make positive first impressions as they prepare for
job interviews, internships and careers. Through Suit Up, JCPenney is offering UCM
students up to 60 percent off all suits and accessories purchased from 4 to 7 p.m.
Sept. 8 at the Lee’s Summit store.
Discounts are offered for all dress apparel including suits, dresses, dress pants,
khakis, shoes, accessories and briefcases. Suit Up applies to UCM full-time, part-time
and dual-credit students. Participants are asked to register through UCM Handshake
by logging into “My Central,” selecting “Records and Registration,” scrolling to the
lower portion of the webpage to select “Career Development” and then “Handshake.”
Once students are in Handshake, look under “Events” and RSVP for Suit Up.
One UCM student shopper will also be selected that evening to receive his or her purchase
(up to $500) for free.
Students are asked to bring their student ID to the Sept. 8 event. Upon arrival, students
will check in with UCM staff members at the store and receive discount coupons. Family
members may also take advantage of the discounts if they are with the student at Suit
Up. Items available at the discounted prices will be clearly marked.
In addition to the apparel discounts, Sephora (located inside the Lee’s Summit JC
Penney store) will provide mini makeovers with the JCPenney salon offering free consultations.
To sign up for the makeovers or salon consultations, please call (660) 543-4985.
The Lee’s Summit JCPenney store is located within the Summit Fair shopping Center at 990 NW Blue Parkway.
