Members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City visited the University
of Central Missouri Lee’s Summit campus July 16.
The young people heard from UCM staff members about the university’s programs and
student activities as well as the advantages of dual credit courses during high school,
scholarships and financial aid. The visit also included a team-building activity and
tour of the Missouri Innovation Campus.
The University of Central Missouri offers undergraduate, graduate, certificate and
other workforce development programs. Courses are available in a variety of formats
including face-to-face, online and hybrid (face-to-face combined with online) at Warrensburg
as well as at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee’s Summit.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City provides affordable, accessible opportunities in the urban core. Close to 8,000 local
students are involved in the organization through activities such as athletics, art
classes, field trips and tutoring sessions.
