WARRENSBURG, MO – The University of Central Missouri’s commitment to providing a quality,
accessible and affordable education is gaining recognition through its recent ranking
as an institution that offers one of the nation’s Best Online Master's in Elementary
Education.
UCM ranked 20th out of 35 public and private colleges and universities recognized
in a study conducted by Online Schools Report, a new authority in online education data. UCM was one of only two Missouri schools
to be included in the top 20.
In their online feature, Online Schools Report notes that there is a tremendous benefit
for anyone who seeks an MSE in Elementary Education in that “there are several different
career paths you can take with this degree. Most programs will prepare you for either
your initial teaching license or an advanced teaching license.”
Online Schools Report notes that individuals entering UCM’s MSE in Elementary Education Curriculum and Instruction program must already have a teaching license or professional endorsement in order to enroll.
The program is designed to address the five propositions of accomplished teaching
that were created by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
“Best of all, this program can be completed entirely online, which means you can fit
it into your schedule for maximum convenience,” according to Online Schools Report.
Online Schools Report synthesizes data from the National Center for Education Statistics,
the Bureau of Labor Statics, Payscale, and the College Scorecard. Ultimately, colleges
are scored based on their commitment to online education, admission rates, student
satisfaction, alumni debt, and specialty in the program in question.
