The University of Central Missouri is partnering with Black Rocket online learning
company to offer online computer science summer camps for children from age 8 to 14.
One-week sessions are available June 7 through Aug. 6 with three-hour classes offered
during either the morning or afternoon.
The computer science summer camps include topics such as video game design and animation,
programming, coding and YouTube content creation. Examples of popular upcoming courses
are Minecraft Animators, Roblox Makers and YouTube Content Creators, Python Programmers,
Make Your First Video Game, Young Authors and eSports Apprentice-Streamers and Gamers.
The online offerings are designed to educate young people in an engaging and safe
environment while also reducing isolation through interactive activities with live
online teachers.
