Students interested in exploring careers in applied architectural or mechanical engineering
3D CADD have the opportunity to learn valuable technical and creative skills in an
online summer course, offered by the University of Central Missouri’s Design and Drafting
Program. The flexible, self-paced course will be offered June 1 through July 30 for
students from age 15 to 18+.
Architectural and Mechanical 3D CADD (Computer-Automated Design and Drafting) will provide students with opportunities
to learn and practice the technical and creative skills needed to succeed in job environments
that include architects, engineers, designers, engineering technicians, and other
professionals. In this course, students create 2D drawings and 3D models of objects,
structures and machines using Autodesk Inventor and Revit software while also completing
engaging activities to explore and discover their fields of interest.
To support the camp participants, UCM CADD faculty members will be available via email and virtual meetings.
Depending on each participant’s learning-and-life styles, this flexible, self-paced
course will include up to eight hours of educational activities. Students can complete
these hours anytime between June 1 and July 31.
High-school students who have used the above-mentioned programs in their Project Lead
The Way courses will also learn more advanced CAD skills. The cost is $249 with an
early bird discount of $25 available for students signing up on or before May 24.
