The University of Central Missouri (UCM) and Allero recently launched a new collaboration to assist companies with workforce needs.
UCM’s Center for Workforce and Professional Education provides a variety of job training
and industry certifications for in-demand careers. The collaboration will bring workforce
and virtual learning opportunities to areas exploring the capabilities of increased
broadband access. Allero is also working with other educational institutions such
as Stanford University, the University of Kansas, the University of North Carolina
and North Carolina State.
“We believe UCM brings unique assets to this relationship and consortium through our
experience in providing relevant and market-specific workforce solutions,” said Joe
Mullins, consultant for UCM’s Center for Workforce and Professional Education. “By
working together, we can help people get connected to the training and resources they
need to get on the path to a better job and a brighter future.”
“Allero Telecom is proud to continue our collaboration with UCM with their innovative
approach to provide remote learning using AR/VR resources for vocational, STEM and
professional development programs,” said Troy Wilson, Allero CEO. “This provides a
key component to broadband adoption for areas previously underserved or unserved with
High-Speed Broadband Internet using Allero’s paradigm shifting industrial mesh technology
delivering networks to both urban and rural communities. With Allero’s network, we
also provide access to telehealth/telemedicine, remote work and many other applications,
services and opportunities not available without High-Speed Broadband Internet.”
The University of Central Missouri’s workforce development programs offer face-to-face
and online industry-recognized programs designed to fit the schedules of busy adults.
UCM offers entry-level training as well as courses geared toward professionals wanting
to advance in their careers. UCM operates campuses in Lee’s Summit and Warrensburg.
Allero Telecom deploys High-Speed Broadband Internet connectivity to unserved and
underserved areas benefiting the communities the organization serves with a paradigm
shifting mesh technology, delivering networks to both urban and rural communities
and installing these networks significantly faster and at a lower price point than
traditional methods.
